Assistant Delivery Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Delivery Manager to assist our Delivery Manager with daily operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods while managing a team of delivery drivers. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ability to back up the duties of the delivery coordinator and delivery drivers.
• Responsible for making appointments to ensure vehicle maintenance.
• Assists delivery manager with monthly 1:1’s, annual reviews and yearly “ride alongs".
• Secures protected health information and required paperwork to comply with regulatory requirements. Ensures the department abides by OSHA, HIPAA and other regulations pertaining to the company standards.
• Interacts with customers in a professional manner while communicating the customers’ concerns/issues to appropriate staff.
• Communicates and interacts with other leaders of the organization in an effective manner.
• Required to attend and complete all mandatory training and events.
• Ensures that scheduling for the delivery department is complete with appropriate staffing levels in a timely manner.
• Assist delivery staff by answering questions and aiding.
• Acts as the backup supervisor if the delivery manager is not available.
• Assists Delivery Manager in planning and running quarterly meetings.
• Responsible for maintaining and fixing medcarts
• Performs monthly delivery checklist audits
• Responsible for coaching and training new and experienced drivers.
• Responsible for organizing deliveries and assigning routes to drivers.
• Bring daily deposit to bank and/or bring mail to the post office.
• Performs other miscellaneous activities as requested.

• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
