Stribling Equipment, LLC is one of the largest John Deere Dealerships selling new and used construction, compaction, forestry, and concrete equipment in Mississippi, West Tennessee, and Arkansas. We also provide parts and service, as well as rental equipment, and training services. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled HR Coordinator to become a part of our corporate Human Resources team in Richland, MS.
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. This role will assist with employee health and welfare plans and company open enrollments. This position will help to resolve benefits-related problems and maintain positive employee relations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides general administrative support to the HR Department such as preparing correspondence, forms, and reports, arranging meetings, composing regular correspondence, processing confidential reports and documents, filing electronic and hard copy, and tracking deadlines.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Assists with new employee and DOT background checks.
- May help with reconciling benefits statements.
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Assists with I-9 forms, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR.
- Files documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Prepares new employee files and assists with new hire orientation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience is preferred.
- At least one year of clerical/administrative assistance experience is required.
- Previous experience working in an HR Department is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and web-based applications.
- Previous experience with Paycom software is a plus.
- HR certifications and credentials are beneficial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to learn and facilitate human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver’s License with clean MVR.
