Stribling Equipment, one of the largest John Deere Dealerships in the South, has a Shop Supervisor opportunity at its dealership. We are seeking a Shop Supervisor who will relate well to our customers, respect and appreciate our technical team, and continue to successfully lead and manage our Service Operations. Our industry-leading parts department personnel and field service technicians operating fifty-four modern field service trucks are available 24/7 and our machine monitoring capabilities allow us to proactively conduct repairs and provide parts support more efficiently.

Training

As a Stribling Equipment Shop supervisor, you will enroll in our 90-day training program that will involve job shadowing and training by our experienced service team, training from the various departments with which you will interact on a regular basis, and exposure to our corporate culture and leadership. This field-based training will assist in your education of our industry, customers, and solutions, as well as allow you to observe these skills taught in action. You will receive training on customer relationship skills, John Deere equipment, and dealership operations throughout the program.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain the schedule of shop work
  • Act as Shop Tech Lead spending 80% of the time on floor with the team
  • Assign personnel to specific work orders and provide resources to assist Service Technicians in the repair of equipment
  • Assist technicians with complex diagnostic procedures
  • Plan and assist in the accomplishment of key performance goals and objectives
  • Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Implement and conduct quality control reviews with service technicians
  • Monitors technical training assignments, coordinates work schedules to promote training accomplishments, and reports training completion to the service team
  • Inspect pre and post-repair; enter data for internal machines as well as customer machines
  • Product support business recruitment & coordination
  • Machine monitoring & required action for machines assigned to the branch operation
  • Customer service and support
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Agricultural or Construction Background or Education is advantageous
  • An Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree in an Applicable Field Such as Business Administration, Agriculture Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness, Construction Management, Forest Resource Management, etc. is required (work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements)
  • Previous experience as a lead mechanic or shop supervisor is preferred
