Strittmatter Metro is an established, growing site development and excavation company focused on both commercial and multi-residential projects. The family owned and run Company has been in operation for over ten years and is currently seeking a Project Coordinator.
This position splits time between active construction job-sites and the office. Some duties will be performed in an outdoor environment with exposure to varying weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have construction experience or construction degree. The candidate must have an excellent work ethic, be extremely organized, proficient with Microsoft Office, be exceedingly dependable and punctual, possess the ability to multi-task, and complete daily assignments in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
The role assists the Project Manager with a wide scope of duties to include:
- Assist with estimation of plan changes and revisions
- Project scheduling including coordination of subcontractors
- Assist with management of job specific contracts
- Collect proposals/bids and help create new contracts
- Assist in preparation of monthly payment requisitions and payment to subcontractors
- Track project quantities and costs
- Assist with vendor reviews and generating P.O.s
- Field inspections to monitor safety, construction, environmental, and regulatory needs
Required skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to include both spelling and writing
- Ability to brainstorm and problem-solve a challenge until the final goal is achieved with some assistance from the project manager.
- Adaptive to ever-changing priorities in a team driven environment
- Trustworthy and able to work independently with little supervision
- Strong time management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to operate all types of office equipment to include copier, scanner, telephone, fax machine, and computer
- MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING IN A CONSTRUCTION FIELD SETTING
- Excellent attitude towards safety
- Ability to traverse an un-paved construction job-site
- Ability to lift to 25 pounds
- Ability to sit at a computer for approximately eight hours a day
- Physically able to bend, reach, twist, and/or pull in either the office, or on the job-site
