What You’ll Do
The role of Central Scheduler is crucial in ensuring our patients receive timely and accurate scheduling of their medical appointments. This role will report to the Manager, Operations. You will ensure accurate and timely visit scheduling, collaborating with clinical staff to optimize schedules and minimize cancellations or rescheduling. In addition, you will engage with patients to provide excellent customer service, inform them about our services, and schedule appointments with accuracy. Consistently monitoring your own performance, you will take proactive steps to meet or exceed targets while working closely with other schedulers to improve processes and achieve team goals.
The Day to Day
- Coordinates and schedules patient appointments with medical providers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Drives clinical priorities forward by making outbound calls to patients, ensuring they are scheduled promptly. Uses communication skills and sales experience to engage patients, highlights the benefits of appointments, and addresses any scheduling needs with a customer-focused approach.
- Maintains a high level of accuracy in scheduling to meet patient needs and provider availability.
- Understands patients' needs thoroughly and convincingly presents Strive's care model to encourage appointment scheduling.
- Communicates effectively with patients via phone to provide appointment information, answers questions, and addresses concerns.
- Achieves daily and weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling efficiency and patient adherence to appointment time and date.
- Handles patient inquiries and objections professionally, providing clear and helpful information to facilitate scheduling.
- Reschedules patient appointments as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to their care plan.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years experience in a scheduling, customer service, or sales role.
- Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience, education, or training within the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software and other relevant computer applications.

Hourly Range: $22.25-$25.00
