What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Manager position at Strong Hold?
Who Are We?
We are a veteran-led, family-owned manufacturer that’s built to last—literally. Our products and relationships are designed for the long haul, whether we’re delivering best-in-class steel storage solutions or critical outdoor lighting components. We take pride in manufacturing everything right here in the USA, proving that quality and craftsmanship are more than just buzzwords—they’re a commitment. At our core, we’re passionate about delivering exceptional value to our customers and fostering a dedicated, driven team that’s in it for the long run.
We Are Not:
- Fancy: We believe quality products don’t need extravagant facilities, but practical, clean spaces where the best team members thrive.
- Transactional: Our relationships are built on trust, understanding, and longevity, both with our customers and our employees.
- Satisfied: Success isn’t a resting point—it’s a launchpad. We celebrate achievements but are always setting our sights on new goals.
Role Overview
In this role, reporting to the Sales Manager, you will oversee the inside sales team, nurture customer relationships, and manage high-impact national accounts. You’ll be hands-on in both the day-to-day and strategic aspects of sales, working across departments to strengthen client partnerships, streamline operations, and support aggressive growth targets.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced Sales and Customer Service Leader: You bring 10 years in progressive sales experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment or within the outdoor lighting industry. You have experience leading an inside sales team, handling customer service challenges, and can make tough calls when necessary.
- Customer Relationship Builder: You excel at growing and sustaining relationships with key accounts and OEMs by understanding their needs and delivering customized solutions. You’ll work to ensure contract terms align with revenue and profit goals while preparing competitive bids, quotes, and pricing.
- Data-Driven Decision-Maker: A part-time analyst at heart, you find joy in tracking performance metrics, preparing monthly reports, and understanding where our products are excelling—or where they need improvement. Proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and possibly macros) is essential, and familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
- Process Improvement Advocate: You see each day as an opportunity to make things better. Whether it’s updating product lead times, streamlining workflows, or developing internal policies, you’re committed to making processes work efficiently for everyone involved.
- Negotiation & Pricing Expert: From annual contract renewals to mid-cycle pricing adjustments for material cost fluctuations, you have the expertise to negotiate favorable terms that support business goals.
- Team Mentor & Leader: With direct leadership experience, you have a knack for guiding team members and a desire to help others succeed. You’ll be comfortable managing direct reports and leading initiatives that strengthen the team.
- Proactive Problem Solver: Comfortable navigating complex challenges, you bring high emotional intelligence, adaptability, and creative thinking to every interaction.
What’s in it for you?
- Competitive Compensation: A robust base salary paired with a quarterly performance-based bonus.
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a company-matched 401k.
- Growth-Oriented Culture: We celebrate our wins, learn from challenges, and always look ahead to what’s next.
