The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the SCOOP/STACK plays, along with demonstrated experience in geohazard analysis, reservoir modeling, and cross-functional collaboration with geology, land, and data science teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise Stronghold's internal reservoir engineering team on type curve generation and normalization across Anadarko and Arkoma Basins.
- Identify and map subsurface geohazards, including fault zones, pressure regimes, and stratigraphic anomalies.
- Analyze operator development strategies, completion designs, and well performance trends within the basin.
- Provide guidance on working interest assumptions and associated revenue attribution across Oklahoma and Arkansas.
- Support technical due diligence efforts for asset evaluations and investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with geologists, land professionals, and analysts to refine reservoir understanding and assumptions.
- Interpret and QC public and proprietary data sources to ensure accuracy and consistency in technical evaluations.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years as a reservoir engineer in the Anadarko Basin.
- Proven expertise in SCOOP/STACK plays.
- Deep familiarity with Oklahoma working interest structures, well economics, and production forecasting.
- Master's degree or relevant advanced certifications.
- Experience working with private equity-backed operators or consulting firms.
- Familiarity with regulatory datasets (e.g., OCC, IHS, Enverus).
- Term: 3-6 months, with potential for extension
- Hours: Flexible, project-based
