Front Desk Receptionist
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Front Office Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations in our office. Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments as needed.
- Answer and manage phone calls, emails, and other communication.
- Verify patient insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Update and maintain patient records in the practice management software.
- Process patient payments, including co-pays and balances.
- Ensure that patient forms are completed accurately and filed properly.
- Assist patients with understanding their treatment plans and financial obligations.
- Manage office calendar and ensure efficient appointment scheduling.
- Assist with maintaining inventory and ordering office supplies as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the dental team and practice manager.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or training in dental office management is a plus.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in dental office software (e.g., Dentrix) is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance is helpful.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for long periods and work at a computer.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 20 lbs).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
