Position Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Carpentry Foreman to lead and oversee our skilled carpentry teams. In this leadership role, you’ll ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Strongwood’s high quality standards. What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and manage carpentry crews on residential and commercial job sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
- Plan and delegate daily tasks, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
- Perform hands-on carpentry work, including framing, finishing, and custom builds, as needed.
- Monitor project progress and address any challenges or delays.
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with building codes.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance skills and productivity.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 4 years in carpentry, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
- Skills: Expertise in framing, finishing, and cabinetry; strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Education: Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent experience is preferred.
