Overview
Stroud, Willink & Howard, LLC, a law firm located on the Capital Square, is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to support the firm's attorneys and other team members. The right candidate should be experienced with transactional business law, real estate, and/or commercial litigation. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have demonstrated knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a law firm, the ability to take initiative and work proactively, be a team player by collaborating and cooperating with others, be detail-oriented, and a willingness to handle multiple priorities.
Our Legal Assistants are part of a team that works closely together and support each other as workloads fluctuate. The team participates in periodic meetings to collaborate on possible modifications to work processes that will help the staff be more effective in their day-to-day work and how to solve reoccurring issues. Team members also have monthly 1:1's with their direct manager to discuss personal development goals that will assist them to continue to grow in their role and career.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum 2 years of law firm experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification or compatible experience
- Preparing legal documents, formatting, e-filing, client intake, maintaining attorneys' calendars and tracking deadlines
- Facilitating communications between the attorney and client
- Technical aptitude and proficiency utilizing MS Office Suite
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills
- A positive attitude, high energy, and a strong passion for your work
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations in a fast-pace environment
-Apply critical thinking and sound judgement to set priorities, meet deadlines, make decisions, and independently resolve issues
-Demonstrate the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
-Provide administrative support to attorneys along with other duties and assignments as needed
-Familiar and comfortable with the skill of billing time

Salary Range: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour, Salary commensurate with experience and skills.
