Structural Materials Inc. is seeking a Construction Estimator. As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates, for rebar & material take-offs, for various construction projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and gather necessary information to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates.
- Analyze construction plans and specifications to determine the quantity and cost of materials, labor and equipment needed for the project.
- Prepare detailed rebar & material take offs for various construction projects.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all cost estimates and changes.
- Communicate and coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost estimates.
- Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to ensure cost estimates are accurate and competitive.
- Ability to wear multiple hats. Such as helping with counter sales, answering phones and office coverage.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment
- Proficiency in using cost estimating software and tools.
- Degree in construction management, engineering or related field (preferred)
- Ability to read a blue print
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy
