What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Marketing Specialist position at Structure Tone?
We are looking for a confident, proactive marketing professional with experience interacting personally with senior management, business development, and team members throughout our STOBG family of brands to get what they need and meet deadlines. They will be working within an energetic team in a high-intensity environment; therefore, exceptional prioritization, planning, organizational, and creative skills are crucial. We are in search of a motivated, strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced atmosphere. Excellent written, verbal, and graphics communication skills and the ability to adapt to different communication styles are required, as well as an ability to work calmly and efficiently to produce quality, error-free work with some level of autonomy. A highly organized individual with inherent high standards and superior attention to detail is a must. The position reports directly to Pavarini McGovern with potential immediate pursuit and other future support to other business units with the Eastern Region of the STOBG family of companies.
Additional requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in marketing or communications, journalism, graphic design, or related field
- 7 years of marketing experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction (A/E/C) industry preferred with an emphasis in the construction field a plus but not a requirement
- 5 years of experience within a B2B marketing department
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom), web-based tools, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with photography and video preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, supervisors, peers, and internal/external clients
- Excellent interviewing, presentation, and written/verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing/business development best practices with an emphasis on absorbing/defining pursuit strategies and executing same
- Ability to work in a group with 'team spirit' as well as independently with minimal supervision
The ideal candidate will:
- Lead top pursuits to ensure a strategic, high-quality submission
- Coordinate proposals, qualifications packages, and presentation materials including project descriptions, project approaches, logistics plans, descriptions of services, cover letters, resumes, and organizational charts under the direction of PMG’s Marketing Director
- Create/customize templates to improve the efficiency and look of client submittals
- Create/customize project documents to meet RFP/RFQ requirements
- Create/customize client intro and/or specialty pieces per BD/Sector lead requirements
- Create/maintain website and other knowledge management marketing materials for awarded projects, document progress with photo and video, contribute to brand identity development and implementation, maintain brand standards
- Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with senior management, the corporate marketing team, other Eastern Region brands, and/or others as required
- Lead presentation coaching (ability to be a strong, confident voice to help guide and prep the team during rehearsals and meetings)
- Possess knowledge in construction field and how the CM and lump sum bid processes work
PROPOSED RESPONSIBILITIES
Proposal Development in support of Business Development and Account Management
- Provide initial planning support through delivery for all aspects related to the proposal process including workflow coordination, resource requirements (e.g., subject matter expert, external consultants, and related internal contributors), and technical content
- Serve in a quality control capacity during the preparation and review of proposal materials and client presentation materials with specific emphasis on brand alignment, relevance, accuracy, and timely delivery
- Provide initial planning support through delivery for all aspects related to client presentation support services including the preparation of PowerPoint slides, presentation boards, and print collateral materials
Brand Support – Copywriting & Editing
Provide writing and editing support and tailor content for PMG’s intranet site, website, social media platforms, and corporate publications.
Project Management/Campaign Implementation
Participate in multiple projects and campaigns, including intranet/website functionality updates, new page templates, and key communications plans for a variety of corporate initiatives.
Social Media Development and Management
Liaise with PMG leadership team to create content and campaigns for PMG social channels; support efforts from other BUs and/or STOBG directly.
Promotional Marketing
Develop effective promotional strategies, including campaigns for varying audiences and determining the best media vehicles for reaching strategic goals.
- Build long-term relationships with internal clients and stakeholders to help promote brand
- Understand and help manage the PMG brand and train employees on the use of the brand, as needed
- Enhance marketing department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, resulting in frequent push-the-envelope efforts
Salary Range
Desired salary range $70,000- $110,000
