OverviewStryten Energy is part of a launch of a new company named Storion Energy. Storion is an innovative stored energy components and solutions provider focusing on LDES (Long Duration Energy Storage) flow batteries.Storion's new production facility and operations lab is located north of Atlanta in Alpharetta, GA. This is a paid Co-Op position with the expectation students will rotate semesters between work and school. We are looking for Mechanical Engineering students for a Co-Op beginning summer of 2025.ResponsibilitiesYou will be exposed to and gain knowledge in the following areas : Working on product development projectsHands on testing in the R&D Lab or shop areaData collection, processing, and analysis, and many more exciting and challenging experiencesAssembly, testing, debugging, and documentation for mechanical fixtures and devicesExperimental design (DOE)Root cause analysisFailure Mode Effects AnalysisR&D processesProfessional developmentDesign for manufactureOur students will already have : Excellent problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills while working with cross functional teamsStrong analytical and practical understanding of mechanical designAbility to take a proactive hands-on approach to problem identification, prototyping, iterative design, validation testing, and troubleshootingQualificationsWe are looking for students : Pursuing a degree in Mechanical EngineeringSophomore (fall 2024) or higher level standing with a GPA of at least 3.0You must have housing and transportationThe position is required to work on-site daily in our Alpharetta officeSummary : Our environment is casual but professional and our Co-Op's are exposed to senior level leaders.
