Maintenance Technicians

STS Technical Services is hiring Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Bedford, Pennsylvania. • Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance for all manufacturing equipment and buildings.
• Maintain and repair plant equipment, including CNC and manual machine tools, forklifts, AGVs, paint equipment, inventory systems, power tools, saws, presses, lifting devices, cranes, plasma cutting equipment, robots, welders, and compressed air systems.
• Oversee HVAC systems, sprinkler systems, plumbing, lighting, fencing, and other building maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Record and requisition parts using electronic devices like iPads, iPhones, and laptops.
• Support project work directed by supervisors and assist in organizing production and office areas.
• Maintain compliance with workplace safety rules, PPE requirements, and 6S standards.
• Assist contract workers on-site and coordinate logistics for parts and materials.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

• Industrial, mechanical, electrical, or vehicle maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, overhead cranes, man lifts, and power tools.
• Intermediate troubleshooting and repair skills for electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, including CNC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of programmable ladder logic (PLC).
• Electrician skills for wiring, 3-phase power, and electrical component replacement.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment like voltmeters and ammeters.
• Familiarity with CMMS software such as Manager Plus, MaintainX, or eMaint.

• Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, reaching, hearing, talking, and visual tasks. Occasional climbing, sitting, and lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds.
• Environmental Demands: Frequent exposure to heights, indoor and outdoor work, temperature extremes, and loud noises. Occasional exposure to weather conditions and frequent task changes.
• Work Schedule: Routine shifts with frequent overtime opportunities.
• Shifts Available:
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
