We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Clerk to provide financial, administrative and clerical services. Accounts receivable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, answering and dispatching calls on occasion, filing permits, and light office work.
Stuart Plumbing is a family-owned company, started in 1926, with a great reputation and solid customer base. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support data entry tasks while on occasion answering the company phone lines. This person will be comfortable working in a casual work environment, with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
**This position offers 30-40 hours a week depending on availability.
**Must Have Knowledge of Quickbooks
**Preference Given to those with:
- Plumbing Experience
- and/or Dispatching Experience
- and/or Knowledge of Housecalls
Responsibilities
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
- Assisting with answering phones and dispatching when necessary
- Filing permits
- Light office tasks
Skills
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- Great phone etiquette & manors
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Quickbooks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
