We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as an Ecosystem Restoration Coordinator for the Student Conservation Association in Skagway, AK. This 19-week position offers the opportunity to work in a beautiful national park while contributing to critical conservation efforts.
About the Position
This role is focused on restoring and preserving ecosystems in Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. You will work with a small field crew to conduct surveys, collect data, and implement restoration methods.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct ecosystem assessments and identify areas for restoration
- Develop and implement restoration plans for degraded habitats
- Collaborate with community partners and volunteers to achieve conservation goals
Requirements:
- Experience collecting scientific data and analyzing results
- Knowledge of ESRI GIS mapping and data collection products
- Ability to work in close quarters with coworkers and adapt to changing situations
