As an Outdoor Crew Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of conservationists on projects, developing and implementing educational programs, and participating in training and professional development opportunities. You will work closely with experienced professionals and other volunteers to achieve project goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of conservationists on various projects, including trail maintenance, habitat restoration, and environmental education
* Develop and implement educational programs and materials for diverse audiences
* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
* Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives
Requirements
* Must be 18 years old or older
* Ability to legally work in the US
* Ability to enroll in AmeriCorps Education Award Program
* Ability to pass SCA background check
* Must be able to attend Crew Member Training
* Full engagement in all work projects and community activities
Benefits
* $650 one-time round-trip travel allowance
* $300 weekly living allowance
* AmeriCorps eligibility (450-hour award, $1,956.35 education award)
* Meals provided during fieldwork
* Group camping gear, like tents, stoves, and filters, are provided
