The Student Conservation Association is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outdoor Program Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all program activities are executed safely and efficiently, while meeting SCA's high standards for quality and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conservation and leadership, with experience working in an outdoor setting.
Your key responsibilities will include serving as the primary liaison between service partners, scheduling and managing rotating projects, and assessing project and environmental risks to ensure a safe work environment. You will also be responsible for supervising Project Leaders and Corps Members, monitoring and assessing the quality of project work performed, and managing project service logs to assure data integrity.
In addition, you will facilitate regular evaluations of Project Leaders and Corps Members, report, track, and respond to incidents in accordance with SCA policies and procedures, and stay up to date with SCA and AmeriCorps policies, procedures, and other requirements. If you have prior experience supervising others in an outdoor setting and are able to work independently without daily in-person supervision, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
