Academic Testing Specialist
Position Title: Academic Testing Specialist
Department: Special Education / General Education
Reports To: Special Education Director/Curriculum Director

Position Overview:
The Academic Testing Specialist is responsible for administering academic assessments, ensuring accurate data collection, and relaying results without interpretation. This position requires familiarity with multiple testing platforms, knowledge of testing requirements, and strong communication and writing skills to document and report assessment outcomes effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer academic assessments across multiple testing platforms, including but not limited to AIMSWeb, AZELLA, Gifted Testing, and Psycho-Educational Academic Testing
- Ensure compliance with testing requirements and protocols.
- Accurately record and report assessment results without making interpretations.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues related to assessment platforms.
- Follow established guidelines and procedures for testing accommodations, when applicable.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating assessments as needed.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of test administration and results.
- Ability to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Facilitate and coordinate testing schedules with appropriate department/site
- Communicate effectively with staff and relevant stakeholders regarding testing procedures and outcomesAbility to speak effectively and communicate information to all stakeholders
- Confidentiality and Professionalism:
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information in accordance with district policies.
- Follow all school and district guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assessment platforms and deadlines
- Uphold a professional demeanor and model appropriate behavior at all times.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s Degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience working in a school setting, experience working providing educational testing preferred
- Certifications: IVP Fingerprint clearance card
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry instructional materials or classroom supplies up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to kneel, bend, and assist with physical tasks that may be required in the classroom or during activities.
Working Conditions:
- The position will be performed primarily during school hours and may require occasional evenings for school events or meetings.
- Some duties may require standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods, and active supervision during recess or other outdoor activities.
Compensation:
- Salary: 40 hours per week, $20 per hour
- Benefits: Health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and other district benefits (if applicable).
