Compliance Specialist (Remote)

Summary:

This position is responsible for providing compliance monitoring services to certain Studio Enterprise clients within the education sector. The job will require monitoring of communications between client staff and 3rd party marketing vendors on one hand and current and prospective students on the other hand.

Employee must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment using several different software applications. Employee must possess extremely strong writing and organizational skills and must be able to work through complex subject matter.


Key Job Elements:


  • Employee will review communications between client Admissions, Financial Aid, and Online Academic Counseling staff and current and prospective students. Communications will be scored for compliance based on pre-defined criteria designed to ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and other applicable regulations or requirements, including existing legal agreements.

  • Employee will review communications between the client’s 3rd party marketing vendors and current or prospective students. Communications will be scored for compliance based on pre-defined criteria laid out in a Vendor Compliance Guide. Again, the monitoring is designed to ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and other applicable regulations or requirements, including existing legal agreements.

  • Communications to be reviewed include calls, web chats and text messages. Monitoring will be completed via manual listening to recordings, review of secret shopper recordings, and the use of a voice analytics platform that flags potentially non-compliant communications.

  • Results are entered into in-house databases that will ensure quality documentation that will help to drive the remediation process where applicable.

  • Employee may be asked to help ensure remediation of violations takes place in accordance with company and client policy.

  • Employee may be asked to assist in the daily assignment process to ensure an ongoing workflow to meet coverage and quality goals.

Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):


1. Knowledge:

a) Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.

b) One year of compliance, call monitoring, quality assurance, and/or general call center work preferred.

c) Must have or acquire knowledge of DOE regulations and Title IV funding.


2. Skills:

a) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

b) Strong interpersonal skills.

c) Strong organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills.

d) Strong computer skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite.

e) Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.


3. Abilities:

a) Ability to interact effectively as either a leader or as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments.

b) Ability to listen to clients and to understand and respond positively to their requests.

c) Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities.

d) Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.
