Role – Designer/Product Specialist: Storage, Hardware

Studio G is looking for a Designer/Product Specialist in our custom closets and pantries division that can also work within our hardware sector and marry the two along with glass capabilities for all clients.
Ideal candidates should be detail oriented, take pride in a job well done, be open to learning; have some background in home design and be comfortable coordinating with multiple departments and customers.
You’ll be doing a lot of this:
- Developing design solutions for custom closets, garages, storage areas, and pantries using existing software systems for drawing and specifications
- Supporting sales efforts in achieving expansion of existing custom builder, designer, and architecture relationships using melamine, wire, and hardware products
- Analyzing floorplans and architectural prints to creatively design product solutions that meet the needs of homeowners balancing cost and aesthetics
- Specifying supplies of closet, pantry, and hardware materials
- Working with customers (builders, designers, homeowners) and vendors (suppliers) to coordinate plans and projects
- Making recommendations for cohesive designs that appeal to builders and home buyers utilizing full-scope capabilities that Studio G provides
- Comfort using technology and office equipment (AutoCAD and MS Office)
- Great verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills plus an eye for interior design
- Sharp decision-making skills and receptive to learning
- Ability to manage time and tasks in an orderly manner
- Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency; ability to read prints and plans
