Overview:
McGee and Co. is looking for a dynamic, self-sufficient, experienced Sourcing Director. The Director of Sourcing will set the vision, strategy and priorities for a comprehensive Sourcing Department aligned with McGee & Co’s business objectives. They will oversee the support of product development and will be responsible for continuously improving supplier relationships, product quality, efficiency and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy:
- Oversee the brand’s global sourcing team to drive margin and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with Product Development and Merchandising to communicate manufacturing capabilities and achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrate leadership in project management and decision making in an environment of expanding product initiatives and overlapping seasonal milestones.
- Implement long and short-term sourcing strategies that maximize return and minimize risk.
- Own and manage product development calendar to optimize efficiency, speed to market and successful launches.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, growth and excellency, championing processes and plans to exceed business goals.
Vendor Relationships:
- Evaluate new and existing vendor base considering diversification, cost, quality and service.
- Maintain relationships with vendors. Track and share performance metrics for certifications, capabilities, capacity, MOQs and costs.
- Manage all cost, MOQ and lead-time negotiations both seasonally and annually with vendors to meet financials goals and business needs.
- Negotiate contract terms and onboarding with factory direct or agent partners.
- Maintain a diverse supply chain that meets the needs for the brand and the industry trends.
Quality and Compliance:
- Drive and maintain excellent quality control across all products internally and with vendor base.
- Manage product testing compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Proactively seek opportunities, ideas, vendors, etc for continuous improvement to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stay informed on the geo-political landscape and industry trends to drive a dynamic sourcing strategy.
- Work with the fulfillment center to quickly and efficiently navigate quality or compliance issues.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in sourcing and manufacturing in the home industry, preferably in the e- commerce sector.
- 4 years in supervisory/management role with a track record of achieving results.
- Dynamic and considerate leader with ability to build plans and processes as well as project manage the implementation of those plans for best results.
- Experience and understanding of multiple home categories with strong professional network and industry knowledge.
- Expertise in cost negotiation, speed to market, quality control and compliance.
- Knowledge of sustainable practices and certifications, raw materials, technical and manufacturing processes.
- Great communicator, entrepreneurial and analytical thinker with problem solving skills.
- Ability to travel internationally.
