What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service/ Front End Supervisor position at Stuff Etc?
- Supervise front-end associates, including cashiers and customer service representatives, ensuring high levels of customer service and productivity.
- Provide hands-on support at the registers during peak times and help resolve escalated customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and manage front-end operations such as checkout efficiency, cleanliness, bagging processes, and line flow.
- Ensure all front-end policies (e.g., returns, exchanges, price overrides) are followed accurately and consistently.
- Train and coach new front-end team members, providing ongoing feedback to improve performance and engagement.
- Maintain awareness of sales goals, promotions, and company initiatives to better serve customers and support store performance.
- Handle opening/closing procedures as required, including cash handling, safe reconciliation, and end-of-day reports.
- Maintain front end displays and merchandising.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- 1–3 years of retail customer service or supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems and front-end operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequent walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
