What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Sturdy Savings Bank?
Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a broad variety of customer services such as opening new checking accounts, savings accounts, and certificates of deposit; assists customers with loan consultations, completing loan applications and closing specified consumer loans; handling transactions and answering questions concerning services provided by the Bank from customers and branch staff. Cross sells Bank products and services to retain and enhance existing customer relationships. Sets up wire transfers, direct deposits, performs a variety of account maintenance, and prepares letters and correspondence. Operates a teller window whenever necessary to provide service to our customers.
Education, Skills and Experience Required:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six months experience as a teller.
- Six months of progressively greater experience within the Bank to become familiar with the variety of customer services (cross-selling) and account options available.
- The interpersonal skills necessary to relate to and empathize with other people and to maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor throughout the day.
- Typing skills necessary to prepare correspondence.
- A thorough knowledge of available accounts and services offered.
- Proficient in the Teller and CSR applications.
