We have a thriving Transportation & Infrastructure practice with a close-knit, team-oriented group that is growing rapidly. Due to our success, we need to continue to add resources to assist with the delivery of our current backlog of work. This backlog includes tasks associated with various infrastructure improvement projects for NCDOT as well as numerous municipal, institutional, and private sector clients.

Project Management Responsibilities Include
- Coordination of design development and managing the timeline and scope of the project
- Lead the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget
- Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and final bid package
- Lead project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and the project team in a collaborative environment
- Establishing working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers
- Demonstrates a proactive approach and a keen sense of urgency to consistently meet client deadlines
- Mentoring supporting civil design staff
- Ability to support Marketing efforts with business pursuits, interviews, proposal writing and presentations.
- Providing professional design services for transportation improvement projects for the NCDOT, City of Charlotte, and other transportation agencies/ municipalities.
- Assisting with the design development of plans including roadway geometric design, cross sections, construction staging and maintenance of traffic (MOT). Experience in, drainage, utility and/or signing & pavement marking design is a plus
- Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required
- NCDOT and/or municipal client experience (required)
- Minimum of 4 years’ of experience in project management or roadway design
- Proficient with MicroStation Geopak and Corridor modeling
- Open Roads Designer experience (preferred)
