ABOUT THE PROGRAM

STX is seeking individuals with a passion for the cross-section between the environmental and financial services industry to join our Rotational Program in September 2024. This is an 18-month rotational program based in New York City which will provide you with broad exposure across four departments and will enable you to gain a holistic understanding of our business. You will also have various mentors to help you navigate the experience and set you up for success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gain insight into the environmental commodities market
  • Rotate across four desks- Renewable Natural Gas, Sales, Renewable Energy Credits, and Operations
  • Full-time placement onto one of our front-office desks after 18 months
  • Assist in developing a market presence through ad-hoc projects, research, and shadowing
  • Conduct research and analysis of global, national, and regional trends

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Undergraduate or Masters' students with a graduation date in Spring/Summer 2024
  • Preferably pursing a degree in Finance, Technology, Business, Environmental Sciences or related field
  • Affinity and/or strong interest in the Environmental Commodities markets
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data, reports, and other information in a presentable and visual way
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to think critically
  • Intellectually curious with written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have experience with Excel or Python
  • SQL and VBA are a plus

STX intends on offering the selected candidate a competitive base salary of $80,000 based on a number of objective factors such as relevant experience, holistic skillset, and applicable licenses and certifications. The candidate may also be eligible for discretionary compensation as determined annually within the company fiscal year.
