Position Summary: The Accounting Associate plays a critical role in managing accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment processing, and financial record-keeping. This position supports the preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements and contributes to maintaining the organizations financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all invoices are accurate and complete.
- Process incoming payments, apply them to the appropriate invoices, and maintain records of transactions.
- Reconcile payments with outstanding invoices and follow up on any discrepancies.
- Enter bills into the accounting system and prepare them for payment approval.
- Assist in the payment processing cycle, ensuring timely disbursement of funds.
- Support the accounting team in preparing month-end and year-end financial statements.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
- Performing other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience with accounting functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
