Sales representative- Farmers Markets

We are a renowned family bakery known for our delectable baked goods and commitment to quality. We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Representative to join our team and represent our bakery at local farmers markets. If you have a passion for sales, love interacting with people, and enjoy the aroma of freshly baked goods, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Responsibilities:

• Act as the face of our bakery at farmers markets, showcasing our products and engaging with potential customers. Setting up and tearing downs the booth daily.
• Proactively approach customers, provide product information, and offer samples to generate interest and drive sales.
• Utilize persuasive selling techniques to promote our baked goods and upsell to increase average transaction value.
• Maintain a clean and organized booth, ensuring that products are displayed attractively and restocked as needed.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper documentation and accountability.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with the bakery team to gather feedback on customer preferences and trends to improve product offerings and sales strategies.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in sales or customer service, preferably in a food-related environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and connect with customers.
• Strong sales acumen, with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend suitable products.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Availability to work weekends, as farmers markets are held during those times.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the bakery and the physical ability to set up, maintain and break down the booth.
