Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Job Shop Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience estimating work for manufacturing and will play a key role in providing accurate cost estimates and pricing strategies. With our recent implementation of a job shop scheduling and costing system, this is an exciting opportunity to help streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer specifications and drawings to generate accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with sales, production, and engineering teams to ensure accurate quoting.
- Utilize our job shop scheduling and costing system to develop pricing models.
- Assess materials, labor, and processing costs for powder coating and metal finishing projects.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to obtain cost-effective material pricing.
- Ensure all estimates align with industry standards, company capabilities, and customer expectations.

Requirements:Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of experience in estimating for manufacturing, preferably in metal finishing or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of job shop operations, scheduling, and costing systems.
- Familiarity with NADCAP-certified processes, powder coating, and non-destructive testing is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job shop ERP/MRP systems.
