- Director with management responsibility for the System Design and Project Engineering department.
- Reports to the Senior Director of System Design and Product Management.
- Leads team of Engineers who prepare Technical Solution in response to Customers Requests (RFQs, ITTs, BEs).
- Interfaces with customers to gather system requirements, and coordinate internal activities leading to development of the overall Technical Solution.
- Supervises development of technical documetation in support of a new system bid to be captured in the contract as well as driving implementation of a contracted project.
- Provide suport required for the Sales and Project Management Organizations, such as presentations to customers on SubCom technology and products.
- Interface externally with technical customer representatives, and internally with R&D Organization, System Design and Implementation, and Customer Solutions Partners.
Qualifications
- M.S. Degree in Engineering or closely related field required.
- Experience with long haul terrestrial or submarine optical fiber communication systems.
- At least 10 years experience in R&D of optical communication systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
