What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Child Nutrition (CNP) position at Substitute?

Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in related field preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: CNP Manager
Background Check Required: (Ala. Code §§ 16-22A-5) Upon offer of employment, employees will be required to submit legible fingerprints for a background review by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to follow and adjust a standardized recipe for school population.
- Ability to conduct safe, quality food production.
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs unassisted and capable of completing other physical activities such as; squatting, kneeling, stooping, etc.
- Knowledge of basic math skills to complete accurate production, recipe adjustment, time-temperature safety, inventory records, and cashier duties as assigned.
- Physical and emotional ability and dexterity to perform required work and move about as needed in a fast paced, highly intensive work environment
Essential Functions:
- Prepares and serves food in a quick and pleasant manner.
- Ensures that during meal service times food is replenished regularly.
- Completes work and cleaning assignments as directed by CNP manager.
- Maintains records as needed for accountability.
- Performs cashier duties as assigned.
- Maintains a proper and professional relationship with students, faculty, co-workers, and other employees and visitors.
- Maintains confidentiality of any school related business.
- Maintains an accurate inventory of all food and supplies.
- Performs duties in a manner that promotes good public relations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by CNP manager and/or principal.
