What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary/Receptionist - Sardinia NY position at SUBURBAN ADULT SERVICES INC.?
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Performs clerical work in answering telephones, receiving the public and providing customer assistance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Receptionist for assigned facility.
2. Greet, screen, check in and assist visitors as needed.
3. Answers telephone; routes call to appropriate staff members; takes and routes messages or provides requested information.
4. Maintains schedule of room availability for meetings.
5. Prepare and send outgoing mail/fax; sort and distribute incoming mail.
6. Maintains confidentiality of all communication/correspondence.
7. Must be capable of operating all office equipment, including copy machine, scanners, fax machines.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES (May be required at location):
1. Responsible for office supply orders and distribution.
2. Assist DH with Emergency Evacuations as needed.
3. Log incoming monies and checks received as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid NYS driver’s license, and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma/GED and one-year full-time office experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Must be able to talk in order to effectively convey information that others will understand.
• Must be able to listen to what other people are saying and ask questions as appropriate.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Able to calculate figures and amounts.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Must complete all mandatory agency training within the first three months of employment.
