As a Vendor Relationship Manager, you will oversee, evaluate, consolidate, and negotiate vendor contracts, including but not limited to waste management, snow removal, telecommunications, office supplies, and related services across multiple company locations.
Vendor Relationship Manager Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and audit current vendor contracts to identify opportunities for consolidation and cost reduction.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and services to achieve favorable agreements and ensure maximum efficiency.
- Maintain and manage relationships with vendors, proactively addressing issues and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Collaborate with site managers and stakeholders across multiple locations to assess requirements, gather input, and ensure alignment with organizational needs.
- Create and maintain detailed records of all contracts, agreements, amendments, and relevant communications.
- Regularly monitor market trends and benchmark services and pricing to ensure competitive advantage.
- Coordinate RFP (Request for Proposal) processes, including proposal evaluation, vendor selection, and contract execution.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Provide ongoing reporting and recommendations to management regarding vendor performance, contract status, and strategic opportunities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field (preferred but not required).
- 3 years of relevant experience in contract management, vendor relations, procurement, or related roles.
- Must meet company background check and drug screen requirements.
- Demonstrated negotiation and analytical skills with a proven track record of cost savings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and contract management software.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Certification in procurement or contract management (e.g., CPCM, C.P.M., CPSM) is preferred.
- Prior experience managing contracts or vendor relationships for multi-location organizations is preferred.
