RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Weekly meetings with the Assistant Superintendent
- Regular meetings with the principals and grade level teachers to improve ELL Curriculum, materials and delivery of services
- Assist with the planning and delivery of staff development opportunities in either Spanish or English
- Responsible for planning and presenting at BPAC meetings
- Responsible for writing and monitoring all ELL/Bilingual Grants
- Responsible for ELL/Bilingual Assessments including the ACCESS test and sharing the data with principals and teachers
- Use the assessment data to plan for improved instruction for ELL Bilingual students
- Assist the principals, teachers and staff in the effective use of instructional materials including the use of technology and delivery of district curriculum
- Evaluate assigned teachers using the school district Teacher Evaluation Instrument and plan.
- Assist the principals, teachers and staff in the effective use of technology and the delivery of district curriculum
- Provide staff development on current best practices in education including reading and writing across the curriculum, and serve as a mentor and a model in developing and demonstrating teaching techniques that are effective with a schools’ ELL/Bilingual students
- Organize and facilitate discussions with classroom teachers, administrators about Curriculum and Instruction such as grade level meetings, study groups provide opportunities for teachers to focus on content, classroom pedagogy, student work, assessment grade reporting and student learning
- Examine assessment data to identify how the curriculum can be enhanced or adjusted to better meet ELL/Bilingual students’ needs changes to service delivery and service trends
- Assume any other duties as may be delegated by the Superintendents
- Will assist the principal and School Leadership Team in analyzing assessment data
- Works with the principal to assure effective operation of the school by directing the staff development and evaluation of employees
- Assist the principal in developing and administering the school budget
- Implements school and district policies and procedures effective to day to day operations
- Ensures effective community staff-student relations by promoting communication and participation
- Promotes parent relationships and community involvement by in school activities
- Works with the building principal to ensure the ELL – TBE/TPI program is running efficiently and effectively
- Ensures a safe and secure environment for staff and students by developing, implementing, and monitoring effective safety and security programs and procedures for buildings, grounds and transportation routes to school
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Principal, Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent
