What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Med/Surg position at Suburban Hospital?
Job Summary:
The Department Director is responsible for daily management and administrative authority and responsibility for the management of the operational personnel and activities of the Department. These functions are preferred collaboration with Hospital Administration, Division Directors, Medical Staff, and others and are performed in accordance with Suburban Hospital’s philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing. MSN preferred
- Current Maryland Licensure as Registered Nurse
- Certification in area specialty preferred but not required
- At least three years’ current RN experience in clinical area
- Previous experience as charge RN desirable
Salary Range: Minimum $170,000 per year - Maximum $210,000 per year. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
