Summary
The Director of Operations is a senior position within the organization with the responsibility of leading all MTF Subs owned restaurants within a geographic area throughout the Maine and New Hampshire Markets. A successful Director of Operation is a solution-oriented, strategic thinker with the ability to drive revenue for the organization.
This position requires up to 70% travel throughout our restaurant footprint.
A Director of Operation will:
1. Coach and train Assistant and General Managers on operational excellence. Helps ensure new hire training is completed and monitors the training processes to ensure quality training of team members. Develops and maintains staffing levels for managers and assistant managers. Implements management training.
2. Provides leadership to Managers and staff in the geographic area to ensure compliance with standards, as outlined in the Subway® Operations Manual, and company expectations.
3. Takes an active role in managing unit-by-unit financials including labor and food cost, sales promotions, and maintenance expenses.
4. Works with staff to achieve sales goals, using available reports to identify opportunities.
5. Supports local and national marketing initiatives.
6. Completes the University of Subway® courses as directed.
Qualifications of a Director of Operations
1. 3-5 years of successful, operational management experience in a restaurant environment. Subway experience is helpful but not required.
2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Willingness to appropriately challenge leadership and confidently present ideas.
3. Maintain calm while acting with a sense of urgency.
4. Ability to prioritize multiple projects at the same time.
5. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
6. Like to have fun and work with great people!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
