What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Director (Northern Colorado/Denver) position at Subway?
Established Restaurant Group looking for a strong professional who excels in team building and operations in a fast-paced quick service environment. The district manager has 9-11 stores within their territory. They will foster growth, financials, and operations amongst all stores as well as with each individual location.
What we are looking for: the key essentials to successful multi-unit leadership
* Area Directors are the standard bearers and culture keepers, they know the way, show the way, and lead the way. District Managers drive store operation every visit every time.
*Each Area Director knows they are only as strong as their weakest link, they are monitoring talent, creating bench strength, and fostering development in the right places.
* The quick service business is that of service, an Area Directors success is related directly to their team's success. The notion that " my customer is anyone who isn't me."
* To be successful; the Area Director not only needs to do important tasks within the units, but more importantly teach, develop, and provide goals for their managers and junior managers to achieve.
* Area Directors must have a strong understanding on how to drive sales to the business. Connecting the business with its community is crucial in keeping us in business and the competition out of it.
* Successful Area Directors understand that the nature of all meaningful restaurant visits is developmental, not “inspection,” and that they are visiting people, not “stores.”
*This job is results based, what you put in is what you will get out. The Area Director not only accomplishes goals as set forth by the company, but also sets goals for themselves and their teams. This is a career that is monitored in successes driven by the candidate themselves.
*A strong understanding of business financials is a must, a candidate should be able to do simple math, control both food and labor cost, knows the fundamental formulas to calculate both. Read and understand a P&L statement and understand the importance of cost control.
