Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining patient records, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare medications by counting, pouring, labeling, and mixing pharmaceuticals
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs
- Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments
- Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of healthcare professionals
- Comply with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the pharmacy board and the Drug Enforcement Administration
- Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, and pharmacy law
- Experience in an acute care or hospital setting is preferred
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and inhalation therapy
- Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
