Energetic High-Impact English Teacher

Successful Study Skills 4 Students is dedicated to delivering top-tier tutoring, test preparation, academic support, and class instruction, specifically designed for middle school and high school students.

We are looking to hire a few high school teachers to tutor students 1 on 1 in study skills and executive functions, such as note-taking, time management, organization, and writing. The teacher will also help students with homework assignments.

Our teachers/tutors are empathetic, perceptive educators who prioritize the needs of their students. They uphold high standards and emphasize understanding, creativity, critical thinking, and overall growth in their teaching.

S4 teachers/tutors will be assigned to multiple families and can create their own schedules and workload. Tutoring sessions may be conducted online or in person in and around the Stamford/Norwalk, CT, areas.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of how to teach study skills and executive functions
• Experience teaching and coaching students
• Classroom teaching experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Experience in tutoring and test preparation
• Background in education, psychology, or related field
• Passion for helping students succeed academically

A Bachelor’s degree is required; a teaching Master’s degree is preferred

Experience teaching High School students required

Location

This is a hybrid role, with work primarily located in and around the Stamford/Norwalk, CT, area, but also allowing for some remote tutoring.
