What you will do in this role

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for assisting with accounts receivable processing.  This role will report to our Controller.  Please note this role is part time (20 hours per week) for a 3-month contract and located in our Cary, NC office (no hybrid / remote). 

Responsibilities  

·       Assist with accounts receivable process

·       Deposit checks and record all incoming electronic payments

·       Send customer statements monthly

·       Create manual customer prepaid statements

·       Produce weekly outstanding AR report for management and notify account managers of customer status

·       Provide statements and invoice copies as needed to customers

·       Follow up with customers on all outstanding AR

·       Proactively and promptly respond to customer inquiries concerning outstanding or disputed invoices

·       Assist with AP invoice filing

·       Assist with yearly external audit

·       Engage in special projects and analysis as assigned

Required Skills/Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree, Accounting or Finance preferred

·       At least 5 years accounts receivable experience required

·       Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills

·       Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations experience preferred

·       Excellent interpersonal skills with an exemplary customer service orientation

·       Proactive communication (written and verbal) skills

·       Strong initiative, organization, and attention to detail

·       Ability to work effectively across diverse and cross-functional teams, under critical timelines while balancing the needs of internal and external customers
