What you will do in this role
We are looking for a Business Process & Systems Specialist to join our Business Optimization team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing software solutions along with supporting applications to improve operations and sales processes. Your direct responsibilities include requirement gathering, business process modeling, stakeholder management, quality assurance and project management. This role will report to the EVP, Finance & Business Optimization.
Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering
- Conducting interviews, workshops, and data analysis to understand current business processes and identify areas for improvement, then documenting detailed functional requirements for new systems.
Business Process Modeling:
- Develop a visual framework of existing business processes and system flowcharts to identify inefficiencies and potential optimization opportunities.
Stakeholder Management:
- Communicating with various stakeholders, including business users, project managers, external vendors, and technical teams, to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.
Quality Assurance:
- Creating testing plans, facilitating with subject matter experts to successfully complete user acceptance testing (), SOP’s, system documentation thereby ensuring new systems meet functional requirements before, during and after implementation.
Project Management:
- Contributing and/or managing project planning, tracking progress, and managing risks associated with system development.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business or a related field
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience in manufacturing and supply chain a plus
- Prior experience in an entrepreneurial and/or high growth company with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced culture.
- ADO, PowerBI and MS D365 experience is a plus!
- Ability to analyze complex data using process mapping, identify gaps, and draw meaningful conclusions to inform decision-making.
- Understanding of software development methodologies, database concepts, and relevant IT systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Must be comfortable communicating with various levels (entry level to CEO) and functional disciplines within an organization.
- Identifying root causes of business issues and designing effective solutions
- Knowledge of business operations, processes, and industry best practices
- Ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Strong initiative, organization, and extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse and cross-functional teams, under critical timelines while balancing the needs of internal and external customers.
