About the Role:
The Community Association Manager will oversee all day-to-day operations, financial management, and capital improvement projects. Success in this role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and multitasking skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
In addition to property management expertise, candidates must possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of building systems and preventive maintenance, proficiency in project management, and computer literacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Supervise and support administrative, front desk, and maintenance staff.
- Budget & Financial Oversight: Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets.
- Project Management: Oversee all capital improvement projects and preventive maintenance programs.
- Vendor & Contractor Relations: Serve as the primary liaison for vendors and contractors, ensuring timely issue resolution and contract compliance.
- Association Administration: Handle all administrative tasks, including meeting preparation and record-keeping.
- Service Requests: Manage and resolve service requests from residents efficiently.
- Property Inventory: Maintain and oversee property assets and inventory control.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Illinois Community Association Manager License.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in property management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and property management software.
- Building Knowledge: Strong understanding of building systems, mechanical operations, and preventive maintenance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
- Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
