Works on the Offender Management System (OMS) and supports the system utilized for data recording and processing with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department; performs related duties as assigned.

Works on the Offender Management System (OMS) and supports the system utilized for data recording and processing with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department; performs related duties as assigned.
Objectives Of This Role
- Works on OMS which maintains all inmate-related records; supports all user requests; provides all necessary and approved access to system; creates OMS reports as needed; works on data requests from external agencies.
- A hands-on-position, the individual will be responsible for the OMS issues, upgrades and follow-up activities.
- Assists in all the devices that connect to OMS such as fingerprint machines; monitors all interfaces related to OMS.
- Participates to all on-going tasks that related to the state offenders data projects.
- Helps streamline work process for the overall operation of OMS.
- Applicant must be proficient with MS SQL server with 5 years of experience.
- Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related major, an advanced degree in computer science is desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL query language to manipulate and retrieve data efficiently.
- Extensive experience with Crystal Reports 2013 running against MS SQL server. Proficiency with Crystal Reports Server 2013 is desirable.
- Knowledge of database structure and store procedures.
- Possess analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Great interpersonal and communications skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
