What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lift Maintenance Mechanic Level 2 position at Sugar Bowl Resort?
Sugar Bowl Resort is seeking an experienced Lift Maintenance Level 2 Mechanic. Under the direction of the Lift Maintenance Supervisor, the Lift Mechanic will provide safe and effcient operation of the lifts through correct maintenance and care. The Lift Mechanic will install, inspect, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment of chairlifts and surface tows as per ANSI Code for Passenger Tramways, Aerial Tramways, Aerial Lifts, Surface Lifts and Tows Safety requirements.
This position will work outdoors in variable and often adverse weather conditions. This position will require hands on work on lift equipment, often high above the ground.

Who you are
- Multiple years (2-4 years) of mechanical experience.
- Prior experience in Lift Maintenance, auto or vehicle mechanic.
- Complete work quickly and efficiently in a productive manner to the highest possible quality.
- Embody a culture where safety comes first!
- Have an understading of A.N.S.I B77.1-2017.
- A leader, encouraging others to work efficiently and effectively.
- Provide excellent guest service to all people at all times. Energetic, friendly and outgoing.
- Ability to work in a sometimes high stress, fast paced environment.
- Self-starter who can determine on own what needs to be done.
- Comfortable operating a snowmobile, with prior training.
- A team player with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Experience utilizing an extensive set of tools.
- Safely rig lift for splice and perform other complicated rigging.
- Inspect lifts for safe operations every day.
- Align lift machinery (motor, gearbox, etc.) as required.
- Perform all basic mechanical tasks without supervision, may lead Level 1 mechanics in the performance of maintenance task.
- Report daily maintenance and safety logs to the Manager in a timely manor.
- Removes, repairs or replaces worn or defective parts as directed.
- Lubricate and clean parts.
- Attend meetings and events as required.
