What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nordic Ski Instructor position at SUGAR BOWL SKI RESORT?
Royal Gorge Cross Country, Sugar Bowl's Nordic Ski area, is looking for ski instructors to teach adult, children and private lessons. At the discretion of the Ski School Director, the Instructor will help in Rentals and assist with lesson organization.

Who you are
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Possess ability to communicate information, instructions and commands if need be to clients in a clear and friendly fashion
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of students
- The Ski Instructor must be capable of working in harsh High Sierra weather conditions
What you will do
- Provide excellent customer service to customers, employees and business partners
- Teach adult and children ski classes in cross country techniques
- Assist in the rental room outfitting customers with equipment
- Maintain current knowledge of teaching and skiing techniques
- In the absence of the Ski School Director, organize group lessons and assign instructors to them
- Assist ski school students with proper ski equipment use and proper ski techniques
- Perform trail maintenance e.g. tree limbing, brush cutting and marking trail hazards and detours
- Help when needed at POS locations with customer rental and retail questions
- Assist with snow removal in the winter months including shoveling and clearing snow from walkways, equipment and other areas as necessary
- Assist with checking of season pass holders
