GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintenance 3rd Class works closely with Maintenance Technicians and Helpers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment and facilities in a variety of settings. They play an important role in supporting professional maintenance teams and ensuring that equipment and facilities operate safely and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems.
- Order and maintain supplies and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate safety gear.
- Be willing to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
- Assist with the development and implementation of maintenance plans and procedures.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain records.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
- Performs other related projects and assignments as business dictates.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Basic knowledge of maintenance principles and practices
- Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic communication and interpersonal skills
LICENSES REQUIRED: Regular Class “E” Driver’s License
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must have 1-2 years of work experience in maintenance that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regular attendance is required during your schedule shift.
- Sitting, Walking, Standing, Kneeling, Crawling, Climbing, and Reaching
- Lifting occasionally up to 50 pounds.
