DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Utilize Best in Class Operational tools and processes to drive Continuous Improvement across all manufacturing disciplines within the site. Lead and direct cross-functional teams to identify loss, strategize improvement plans, and drive implementation. Ensure operational best practices are in place at the site level for consistent application of processes. Coordinate with plant and corporate departments on all new product lines and transfers with a focus on maintaining product integrity and quality from start to finish.
PRINCIPAL DUTIEIS AND RESPONSBILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university; or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5 years of experience in engineering, operations, continuous improvement role; 3 years of supervisory experience.
Certification or Licensure Requirements: None required.
ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
No unusual physical requirements. Physical requirements are consistent with typical plant operation position, including some sitting with some standing/walking required. Other light physical activity like using stairs or occasionally moving items weighing up to 20 lbs may be required as needed. Some travel may be required in between plants.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Some travel to other locations is required.
Some work is performed in a comfortable indoor, office-like facility. Some work is also performed in an indoor, manufacturing facility with proximity to heavy and hazardous machinery. Safety wear is required, including hard hat, hairnet, hearing protection, safety glasses, protective boots, coats, and other necessary equipment. Minimal work is performed outside of the manufacturing facility on premises with some safety wear needed.

- Lead Sugar Creek Performance System implementation and coach execution at the site, realizing annual savings and performance objectives.
- Oversee installation of new product lines and product line transfers from other plants, working across departments to coordinate efforts and ensure a seamless transition while still delivering quality products.
- Utilize/Teach Zero Base Analysis to identify gaps in operational processes and make improvements.
- Utilize/Teach tools to help production site break down the gap into specific buckets of loss.
- Guide people and resources to the highest value initiatives in the right sequence to have the most impactful contribution to the company.
- Utilize analytics to organize data to identify daily opportunities, as well as analyze trends to solve longer-term structural gaps.
- Measure pertinent performance metrics to improve throughput efficiency.
- Work with Plant Management to foster a positive, high-energy work environment focused on continuous improvement and reaching production goals.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support all safety, food quality and sanitation initiatives and policies.
- Follow Sugar Creek Packing Co. safety rules and procedures.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
