Summary/Objective:
The Sugar Land Space Cowboys Creative Marketing Associate is intended for individuals with a strong desire to gain real-world work experience, as well as a desire to work hard and give their best. Learning potential is endless in these positions and associates get as much out of the experience as what they put into it. This associate position is primarily intended as an educational experience. The primary role of this position is social media.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Digital Media
- Produce creative Instagram content during Sugar Land Space Cowboys games.
- Assist in creating unique posts across social media platforms.
- Collaborate on the creation of engaging TikToks.
- Ideate and strategize alongside marketing team to grow team following.
Photography & Design
- Assist team with photography duties, including gameday action and lifestyle shoots as needed.
- Learn graphic design skills.
- Help edit projects for social media, website, videoboard and any other graphic design projects as assigned.
- Assist with team photo archive.
General Marketing
- Assist with planning and executing theme nights at the ballpark.
- Assist with grass roots marketing efforts.
- Assist with gathering pertinent data to help marketing efforts excel
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- In pursuit or recent completion of a bachelor’s degree in related fields is preferred.
- High level of professionalism with ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- High attention to detail and deadline orientation.
- Highly motivated with strong work ethic.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience in photography and basic editing skills.
- Experience in Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of the game of baseball.
- Familiarity with the Astros organization.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Capable of following job guidelines and supervisors' instructions.
- Strong experience with posting to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram channels, preferred
- High level of professionalism with ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Superior attention to detail and deadline orientation.
- Ability to work efficiently.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position, and hours of work on non-game days are typically 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Due to the nature of this position, the position requires hours of work and days that include frequent nights, weekends and holidays. Weekend hours and holidays will be required for grass roots marketing initiatives and game days.
Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.
