Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and management, particularly in casual dining environments. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations, maintaining high standards of food safety, and delivering exceptional customer service. As a Front of House Supervisor, you will lead the front-of-house staff, manage daily operations, and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Pay is DOE.
Overview
Under the general guidance of the Sugar Pine Kitchen Manager and within limits of established company policies and procedures, the FOH Supervisor - Restaurant Division is responsible for all communication, i.e., written and verbal, with all Sugar Pine FOH staff, including but not limited to:
Essential Job Responsibilities

Customer service:
- Ensure a welcoming and positive atmosphere for customers.
- Greet customers, take orders, and provide excellent service.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized deli environment.
Deli Operations:
- Monitor inventory levels and alert management to place orders for deli items as needed.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices for FOH
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of deli items if needed include shakes, juices, coffees, and hot/cold food.
- Manage the flow of customers during peak hours and ensure smooth service.
- Complete opening and closing duties as assigned and to standard.
- Implement promotional activities to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.
Administrative Tasks:
- Manage cash register operations, including balancing cash drawers and processing transactions.
- Assist with drafting policies and procedures.
- Prepare daily reports and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with scheduling of staffing.
- Responsible for onboarding paperwork of new employees.
- Update Square on an as needed basis - online ordering, items that need to be updated, inventory control, out of an item, specials for the week.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain open communication with management and staff.
Supervision and Leadership:
- Supervise and coordinate FOH staff, including servers, cashiers, and other deli personnel (FOH only)
- Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and ensure efficient workflow.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on deli operations, food/drink preparation, and customer service. Scott to train his department; Malcolm would do training POS, menu familiarity, stocking inventory.
- Address employee issues and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Notify management of any pertinent information related to shift activities.
