What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering Event Driver and Server position at Sugar Pine Catering?
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers Lisence
- Hard worker with a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and grow and take initiative.
- Run food from the kitchen to the guest tables
- Set up and breakdown of ceremony and dining room as needed
- Set up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance
- Serve plated dinners or family-style platters to guests and respond to requests
- Communicate with Event Captain as well as other servers and event organizers
- Clean up the venue after the event ends and assist with inventory, design storage, and other closeout tasks
- Look for opportunities to elevate service: fold napkins, fill water glasses, etc
- New staff assigned at an event may require on-the-job training.
- Drive the company van to and from events.
- Load dining equipment in and out of the van.
Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to stay cool under pressure; can cope with change
- Multi-task and works well with others.
Uniform, Environment, and Equipment
- Able to provide own black dress pants, black shoes, and black shirt
- Prepared to work in both indoor and outdoor event
- Prepared to work with commercial cleaning products and equipment: dish detergent, commercial dishwasher, floor cleansers, broom, mop, and bucket
